Sessions & Enrollments
Winter session starts on January 8th 2023, and ends on June 17th.
Class size and duration:
Small class sizes of 4-6 students are maintained to ensure individual attention to each student. Classes are held once a week for a duration of 50 minutes.
Absences and Make-ups :
As a general rule, UrmiMusic provides no make-up classes. Consistency is the key aspect of success in music. If a student misses any class, there is no refund or make-up lesson available. This policy is intended to encourage consistency and commitment towards the classes.
Class Format :
Classes will continue to be a hybrid format, as it currently is. Kids should try to come for classes in-person.
Child Safety and Drop-off :
To ensure your child’s safety, make sure your child makes it to the class, and the teacher is present. Do not drop your child off in the parking lot or leave him/her unattended in the waiting area. Students should be picked up promptly after the class, and not be dropped off more than 10 minutes prior to lesson time. UrmiMusic is not responsible for supervising children outside of the designated teaching time.
Recitals and performances:
We will have our annual summer program “TARANA 2023” on June 9th at the Concert Hall at Drew University. The program showcases group performances featuring a variety of songs of different Indian musical genres, accompanied by live traditional Indian instruments. Participation is optional. Students enrolled on-line will have a separate show if they can’t make it to the in-person program.
Tuition
Tuition for the Spring session is $600, payable entirely at the time of enrollment.
Tuition is payable for the entire session at the beginning of each session. Fee is payable by check, cash, Venmo or Zelle. For Venmo or Zelle, my phone number is 917-902-5075. If you prefer to pay by check, please make it out to "Urmi Battu", and mail it to 26 Broadlawn Dr, Livingston, NJ 07039.
Refunds
Students are enrolled for the entire session. No refunds or tuition credits are made for missed classes, or withdrawal.
Photo and Recording Policy
UrmiMusic reserves the right to photograph and record (video or audio) classes, programs and performances. Please be aware that these photos or recordings are for promotional purposes and may be used in future UrmiMusic and other print or electronic publications and media communications. By enrolling, you consent to the video or audio recording or taking of photographs of you and /or your child for these purposes.
