Play Tanpura only.

  • 10 minutes:

  1. Gently hum the note, holding it as long as possible.

  2. Inhale 4 count, hold 1 count, sing Sa 4 counts chanting AUM . Keep repeating.

  • 5 minutes:

  1. Approach Sa from lower notes chanting AUM.

Play Tabla and Tanpura.

  • Sing the scale 100 times counting on fingers, set tempo to 60 bpm ( steps below).

  1. Start with 12 counts (10 +2 breaths)

  2. 8 counts - 1 cycle

  3. 4 counts - 1 cycle

  4. 2 counts - 2 cycles

  5. 1 count - 20 cycles

  6. 1/2 count - 30 cycles

  7. 1/4 count - 30 cycles

  • Sing the scale in all vowels :

  1. आ ऐ ई ओ ऊ - each vowel 2 cycles.

Play Tabla only.​  Tempo 50.

  • Rhythm exercises

  1. Clap single beat

  2. Clap double speed with sharp wrist movement.

  3. Clap quadruple speed with sharp wrist movements.
