Teentaal is the most popular taal in Hindustani classical music. It has a 16 beat rhythmic cycle. The cycle is divided into smaller units called Vibhag. Teentaal has 4 Vibhags, with 4 beats in each. There is a Taali on the 1st, 5th and 13th beats and a Khaali on the 9th beat.
